- On 12.04.2011 Latvian Cabinet of Ministers decided to transfer to Latvian Parliament for approval the new Construction Law. The new law proposes to simplify the administrative process of construction, thus substantially improving the business environment and attracting local and foreign investors.
- On 29.03.2011 Latvian Cabinet of Ministers approved new rules for consumer crediting. According to new rules non-bank lenders are obligated to acquire a license (costs for initial license - LVL 50 000, costs for annual renewal - LVL 10 000).
